Happy Mother’s Day!
I’ve chosen this very day to publish my third book, Hi, Honey!: A Dementia Diary because it truly is a love letter to the relationship I had with my mom, who passed away just over a year ago.
I wasn’t really aware how unique the relationship was between my mother and me until I was well into my thirties.
Turns out, not every woman talks to their mom on the phone every single day at 4:00 pm.
Hi, Honey! begins the day our daily phone calls ended, when that bitch of dementia took away her ability to navigate the phone that sat next to her in the nursing home.
As I tried to find my direction, again, my therapist suggested I write my mom letters. Not my favorite idea, but it soon became an essential part of my day and a better-than-anticipated substitute for those phone calls that I cherished so deeply.
Hi, Honey! shares those letters as I muddle through the end stages of dementia, watching my mom slip further and further away.
I’d love for you to grab a copy of Hi, Honey! and, if you don’t mind, dropping a review in once you’ve read it. For Indie Authors, those reviews are really what keep our books at the front of a very long line in the world of books.

Thank you in advance for your support! I love to be able to provide my occasional epiphanies at no cost to my readers – and the occasional book sales allow me to continue doing that.
